I absolutely LOVE doing engagement photos as a wedding photographer! Why, you might ask? Well ... it's because I get to meet you before the big day!! I think it is so important to have your wedding photographer take your engagement photos, because it also gives you guys (as the clients) an opportunity to meet me and see my shooting style and learn some of the posing and to get comfortable in front of the camera. I know that taking photos can be sort of nerve racking for most people and so that is why I offer a complimentary engagement session with my 8 hour wedding package to loosen up and get to know each other.
Reason #1: Kind of already mentioned this before, but we get to meet each other before the wedding day! Phone calls and FaceTimes are great, but I love to meet you guys in person. I've been told that it makes my couples 100% more confident for the wedding day when we did do an engagement session because they already know me and I already know them and it takes the stress off of the day!
Reason #2: You get to dress up, look cute, look handsome, and get new photos of you and your boo. Sold! Maybe I'm biased, but I love photos so anytime I can get photos with my and my boyfriend i take it!
Reason #3: You get to capture this stage in your life. This is such a monumental stage in your life together and it is so important to capture this moment between you guys. You won't ever regret getting engagement photos done, because you can look back and remember these moments for years to come.
Reason #4: Use them for your save the dates and invitations! Pretty self explanatory, but you can use these photos to send out to your loved ones to invite them to your wedding day!
